Gary Keister, President/CEO
Mr. Keister, founder and president of Wescom Capital, Inc., has over thirty years of experience in senior management and in providing strategic management to emerging growth companies. His expertise is in capital formation and structure management for early and secondary stage companies. Mr. Keister has managed a broad array of businesses from inception through all phases of growth and exit.
Mr. Keister served as chairman of the Hudson Bay Group and was a founding director and private investor in John Cabot Company, which owned and operated seafood-processing plants worldwide. Mr. Keister has served as chief executive officer of Veribus, Inc., a private corporate investment firm focused on emerging growth companies and continues to serve as managing partner of a Washington investment partnership.
Mr. Keister is a graduate of Gonzaga University School of Law where he was a member of the law review. Mr. Keister earned an undergraduate degree in business administration with an emphasis in finance and economics from Santa Clara University (SCU).
Gary Schmidt, Director
Gary Schmidt is a technology executive with over 16 years’ experience in technology, mobile technology, IoT / M2M and selling complex IT solutions to consumers and fortune 500 companies. Mr. Schmidt also founded and was Chief Executive Officer of AirCloud, Inc. Mr. Schmidt created the product vision, sold the first product to large mobile companies such as Sprint, T-Mobile and Alcatel-Lucent. AirCloud not only created mobile products for these customers but also curated and programmed all the content that was sold the carrier decks. Mr. Schmidt was also responsible for the company’s financial and operational functions.
Before founding AirCloud™, Mr. Schmidt served as Managing Director of Wescom Capital where he was responsible for managing and structuring strategic partnerships, funding, portfolio management, joint venture and alliance relationships, mergers and acquisitions, and business development efforts specifically in the wireless and technology sector. Mr. Schmidt also managed all external communications worldwide, reporting and client services activities.
Prior to AirCloud™, Mr. Schmidt held several senior roles at Activate.net which later merged with Loudeye Corporation. Mr. Schmidt led the sales efforts to deploy the first digital storefront on AT&T among working with many other large brands such as Sprint, T-Mobile, Boeing, Microsoft, Amazon, Nordstrom’s, Paccar, Sony, Universal to name a few. Mr. Schmidt was one of the first hires at Activate.net after the CMGi acquisition, where he was responsible for developing the sales group and aided in overall marketing efforts and business partnership. He was also responsible for managing the overall sales objective of the sales divisions.
Earlier to Activate.net/Loudeye Corporation Mr. Schmidt held various roles in telecommunication sales and sales management at Sprint and Qwest Communications selling transport, internet backhaul, data center/colocation and managed services.
